Distribution boards, control panels and motor control centres quoted from drawings and built to order.
LV and MV assembly with component traceability and quality documentation that outlives despatch.
Contracting firms building their own boards alongside site work, needing both estimating and stock control.
A panel builder, a switchgear assembler and a contractor who fabricates boards look different from the outside, but they share the same operational shape. Work arrives as an enquiry with a drawing or a description. Somebody experienced turns that into a list of components and a price. If the job is won, those components have to be bought, the assembly has to be built and tested, and the whole thing has to be invoiced and collected.
They also share the same failure modes: quoting is slow because it depends on one or two people, purchasing is reactive so jobs stall on missing parts, and the margin quoted is not the margin realised because prices moved and nobody checked.
Zaptiz is a good fit when your bills of material are created per job, your estimating queue is the constraint, and your compliance obligations are Indian GST. It suits businesses roughly between five and a hundred people — large enough that the spreadsheet has become a liability, small enough that a six-month ERP implementation is absurd.
It is a poor fit for high-volume repetitive production of a fixed catalogue, for businesses that need shop-floor machine integration, and for companies filing taxes outside India. We would rather say so now than after you have paid.
Electrical manufacturing businesses that make to order: panel builders, switchgear assemblers, control panel manufacturers and electrical contractors who fabricate their own boards. Typically between five and a hundred people, in India, quoting custom work from drawings.
Less well. Zaptiz is optimised for made-to-order work where the bill of material is created per job and estimating is the bottleneck. A business stamping out an identical catalogue product at volume has different problems, and a production-line MRP would serve it better.
The product works anywhere, but it is built India-first: rupee pricing, GST rather than VAT, HSN codes, and Indian payment and messaging integrations. If you file taxes elsewhere, talk to us before buying rather than after.
